A-230 A Story Told in Four Parts: Embedded Validity Indicators’ Effectiveness in Predicting Word Choice Test Validity Classification

Abstract Objective: Many individual embedded performance validity tests (PVTs) have been independently cross-validated as indices among various clinical populations; however, research examining the additional predictive value from combining multiple PVTs is more limited. The study's purpose was to examine accuracy of eight for predicting pass/failure on a well-validated freestanding PVT, Advanced Clinical Solutions: Word Choice Test (WCT). Method: study consisted 225 adults referred outpatient neuropsychological evaluation that included following PVTs: Rey Auditory Verbal Learning (RAVLT) Forced (FC), RAVLT Effort Score, Brief Visual Memory Test-Revised Recognition Discrimination (BVMT-RD), Digit Span Age Corrected Scaled Reliable Span, Stroop Color and Reading T-Score, Letter Fluency Trail Making Part A T-Score. sample 56% female racially diverse (40% Black, 35% White, 17% Hispanic, 5% Asian, 2% other ethnicities) with mean age 45.96 (SD=16.12) education 13.96 (SD=2.73) years. Results: forward stepwise logistic regression performed predict WCT pass/fail using predictors. model achieved in three steps (p95% correctly classifying pass group.
